Attracting as many young scientists as possible is one of the primary goals pursued by the Congress Organizing Committee. Most young scientists are Ph.D. students or early-stage researchers with non-permanent positions. Participating in international conferences, such as the IMA Conference, will provide valuable experiences for these researchers. Students and young scientists from the fields of earth sciences and materials sciences at Nanjing University will also have the opportunity to participate in the IMA Conference to showcase their research achievements to a global audience.

We will provide financial support to young scientists participating in IMA 2026, which includes:

Registration fee with a great discount

  Scholarships to support travel/accommodation costs

Special salons for students and young scientists

Most of the scholarship funds come from private or corporate sponsors, as well as the International Exchange Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. We will adjust the final allocation for each type of scholarship based on the financial resources available to the Conference in the final month of preparation.

The Conference will arrange accommodations for young scientists. Nanjing, with its rich history spanning almost 2,500 years, will warmly welcome them and provide a chance to experience both ancient and modern China firsthand.
