In addition to visits of the old City of Nanjing during the conference week, we are pleased to offer a variety of pre- and post-conference field trips with mineralogical and geological focus, but also historical and impressive sightseeing components.
The programme includes several-day tours to, e.g.,
the Karst topography and carbonate-type manganese deposits in Guilin area
the Neoproterozoic phosphorus deposits-Chengjiang Biota-Cangshan metamorphic rocks-hydrothermal gold deposits in Yunnan
the granite domes and lithium deposits in Western Sichuan
the Cambrian microbialites and alkaline granites in Shandong
the salt lake deposits and rocky desertification areas in Qinghai
Several one-day trip around Nanjing have been planned, including Cenozoic volcanic groups, Nanjing Ape-Man Cave (300 ka), Jiangsu Palygorskite Mine, distinctive mine parks after ecological environment restored, Mineral Carbon Storage Demonstration Project, and wonderful mineral museums.
